“Fashion Fav of the Moment…”

With Gossip Girl staring up again very soon I, like most other fashion loving girls, cannot wait to once again see the glamorous clothing and accessories worn by the characters each week. While in the show I would choose to raid Serena’s closet, with her amazing collection of effortlessly chic and stylish bohemian esque clothing, over Blaire’s, I have been obsessing over Leighton Meester’s style choices. Unlike her character Blair, who dresses more reserved and girly, although don't get me wrong, she still has amazing pieces such as that prom dress and her endless collection of to die for headbands, Leighton seems to have a more sexy style and is definitely not afraid to take a risk. She sticks to mainly short tight dresses that look fantastic on her body, with the occasional longer gown thrown in. I’ve notices that she seems to favor Zac Posen, which is probably another reason that I like her style. Zac Posen is one of my favorite designers, and I love his pieces (including the grey dress that Leighton is wearing in the first picture). Leighton is definitely not afraid to wear colors, and details on the backs of the dresses that she wears. I am a lover of eye catching details, specifically on backs, and that is why Leighton Meester is my first ever Fashion Fav of the Moment!

The Audrey Effect..

To me, Audrey Hepburn is the epitome of beauty, elegance, and stylishness. My favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany's, and having seen it oh about 36 times one would presume that i would tire of it. However, even though i know every word by heart, the movie still captivates me every time. This is because of Audrey. She is beautiful, but not in the conventional tall, blond hair, model way. And her style? In one word, amazing. I undoubtedly dub it the most fashionable movie that I have seen. Yes, there is the quintessential LBD that Holly wears in the opening scene in front of Tiffany's, but her entire wardrobe throughout the movie is beautiful.

This LPD (Little Pink Dress) is one of my favorite pieces that Holly wears in the movie. Its a fresh change from the black dresses that she primarily wears in the beginning and the color is so fun and bright. I would love love love to have a dress like this in my closet. Another item in the movie that is a must buy for me is the amazing sleep mask that Holly wears. You can see in there second picture at the top. And there is this great copy

The fashion in the movie is mostly simple pieces, highlighted by perfect accessories such as; large hats, big black sunglasses, chandelier earrings, and the occasional pearl necklace. the simplicity of the wardrobe parallels Audrey's style in her everyday life, with simple pieces, mostly black, that suit her petite figure perfectly and her most present essential black flats. Her simple elegance is what makes Audrey Hepburn my ultimate fashion idol.
